Until recently I did not believe I possessed my own artistic abilities. This all changed once I began bending wire! As I began working with wire I found it was really a freeing process. I did not feel the need to produce a perfect drawing or painting. All I needed to do was cut and bend wire. At the core of my creative process is the act of bending hundreds (sometimes thousands) of strands of wire. As I begin to bend these strands together I start with a vision and find that the wire guides me. There is a certain synergy that takes place when my vision aligns with the form the wire takes. My smaller pieces have around 200 feet of wire. My largest piece has over 8,000 feet of wire!
